Is Botox® suitable for the treatment of fine lines and perioral wrinkles?

Peels
How long does it take after a peel to recover so that I can dive into my social life again?

The recovery time depends pretty much of the depth of the peel. After a medium-deep weekend peel the skin has usually recovered within 3 to 5 days after the intervention. After a deep Baker-Gordon peel recovery time is about 10 days. A new type of peel, the so-called ENNER Peel shows almost no skin reddening after the peel. You can leave the dermatologist's office and resume your social activities right away.

 

Soft therapy of skin tumors
I have heard about a soft therapy for the removal of skin tumors. What kind of therapy could be meant?

You refer most probably to the so-called Photodynamic Therapy (PDT). Instead of a surgical excision this therapy consists of a pretreatment with a photosensitizing cream and the subsequent treatment of the diseased skin cells with a red light. This therapeutic regimen that is offered at hautok selectively destroys the diseased skin cells. PDT is suited for the treatment of actinic keratosis (a pre cancer skin alteration) and basal cell carcinoma.
Late acne

 

Adult acne
I had little problems with acne in puberty. But now, in my mid-thirties, my facial skin seems to blossom with pimples and pustules.

Allergy and facial fillers
I would like to undergo a wrinkle augmentation with facial fillers. Due to the fact that I am very prone to develop allergies, I would like to know whether I run the risk of allergic reactions after such a treatment?

Yes, allergic reactions have been occasionally reported. This can be excluded by testing small amounts of the chosen filling material in an invisible area of the body. An excellent alternative is the wrinkle augmentation by means of fat injections or plasma gel, substances that are derived from your body thus eliminating the risk of allergies.

 

Refreshing without lifting
I would like to "refresh" my facial expression without looking "lifted" afterwards. What do you recommend?

There are a huge variety of methods and treatments to achieve the desired effect. After an individual diagnosis it might be a choice to combine different treatments such as peels or wrinkle augmentation and complete them with a soft contour lift by means of radio frequency therapy. Sweating
In stressful situation or important presentation or meetings at work I tend to react with excessive sweating. Even the strongest antiperspirants and deodorants are not a solution at all. Is there a surgical procedure than can bring relief?

There is a surgical procedure removing sweat glands in the axillae (armpits). I personally would recommend a treatment with botulinum toxin first. The effect of the Botox® treatment for hyperhydrosis (excessive sweating) lasts up to 8 months and has become more and more popular for the therapy of hyperhidrosis.
